I really love the ease of starting my day with a smoothie. But for a smoothie to be filling enough for me to call it a meal, it needs to have ample protein, fat, and fiber. This smoothie checks off all those boxes, which is why it is my summertime breakfast favorite!

I can only drink smoothies in the late spring and summer – generally a time when I eat breakfast on our deck in the sun. In the fall and winter my body craves warmth in the morning and smoothies make me too cold. At least here in Colorado!

The protein in this smoothie comes from my favorite protein powder which is made from hydrolyzed beef, a hypoallergenic protein source from bone broth, which contains a whopping 21 grams of protein per scoop! I find that even my most sensitive clients digest this protein powder incredibly well. Of course, you can substitute your favorite protein powder if you already have one that works for you.
